Sexy Bodysuits The Wild And Fashionable

By Amanda Cotterill

Sexy bodysuits, often called teddies, give women a chance to get in touch with their wild side in a way that is surprisingly stylish and comfortable. Clothing designers of all kinds now have lines of sexy bodysuits due to the ever-increasing popularity of this lingerie. Like many types of clothing these days, this rise in interest in sexy bodysuits can be traced to hip-hop and rap videos often showing women wearing them. Suddenly women of all ages had to have sexy teddies – and designers rose to the occasion to give them a variety of bodysuits never been seen before.

This is a fabulous thing for women, too. Sexy bodysuits flatter and enhance practically every inch of a woman’s figure. Many are designed to lift and shape busts and bottoms by weaving Lycra and spandex into the fabric in just the right places. Popular companies like Spanx makes beautiful bodysuits completely designed using those types of fabrics so that women look slimmer and firmer. Few women will argue with any undergarment that can do those two things!

Bodysuits come in more designs, styles, colors and fabrics than you can imagine, from gorgeous sexy bodysuits to leopard prints to leather. This makes it simple to find ones in colors and styles that enhance your skin tone and flatter – or smooth! – your curves at the same time.

Today, many women wear sexy bodysuits under their normal clothing. A huge fashion trend is to pair a totally hot bodysuit with jeans or a skirt and throw a jean jacket on over it for a night out on the town. Some women are even wearing the more sedate bodysuits to work underneath ordinary business suits. It’s no longer necessary to hide sexy bodysuits away or save them for ‘special’ occasions. Pair them with the right things and you can wear them practically anywhere, anytime, for a great confidence boost and a little sensual appeal.

When it comes to shopping for sexy bodysuits, they’ve never been so easy to find. Department stores, specialty boutiques, and other stores carry sexy teddies and bodysuits. Plus size women can generally find bodysuits in specialty stores that serve full figured women.

Don’t forget the Internet. You’ll find a much larger selection of sexy bodysuits there than you ever could in any department or lingerie store. Really, the selection you’ll find on the Web is so large that you may have an extremely hard time making up your mind about which one to buy, so don’t hold back. After all, compared to many other types of sexy women’s lingerie, bodysuits and teddies are very reasonably priced, so indulge yourself. Go ahead and purchase several sexy bodysuits. When you realize how exceptionally sexy you feel in them, you’ll be glad you did.

British government advises against non-essential travel to Kenya

Thursday, January 3, 2008

The British Foreign Office is advising Britons against all but essential travel to Kenya because of the violence following the disputed presidential elections. The warning and the violence are heavily affecting Kenya’s tourism industry, which relies heavily on European tourists escaping the winter cold.

The travel warning recommends that those already in Kenya stay indoors and exercise extreme caution and seek advice locally either from their tour operator or the local authorities if they want to travel. The Foreign Office also warns against attending political gatherings and large public meetings.

This decision comes at the same time as widespread violence in the country and calls for an investigation into the vote results, after suspicion over vote rigging by the government.

Tour operators in the United Kingdom have suspended holiday packages to Kenya until the situation there improves. Two holiday companies are thought to be flying out empty planes to the country, to bring back British residents from the country.

The Association of British Travel Associations, an umbrella body for travel agents says about four hundred tourists who had been scheduled to fly to Kenya have postponed their trips. Sean Tipton is a spokesperson for the association.

“Clearly holidays can’t count as essential travel, because of that British tour operators have two flights one going out on Friday and another one on Saturday both those flights will still be going, but they will be flying out empty,” he said. “They won’t be taking any more customers out to Kenya. The reason they are being sent is they were due to return people to the UK. There is another charter flight which should go out on Monday at the moment that’s still scheduled to go because the advice to Kenya is changing very rapidly, but if the Foreign Office is still advising against all but essential travel, that flight will also be cancelled.”

Another umbrella body, the Federation of Tour Operators also announced the suspension of holiday trips to Kenya with departures due up to Saturday January 5th.

In a statement it said the situation is being reviewed daily and any changes to departures planned after 5 January will be made over the coming days.

Media reports say there are about 6,000 British citizens currently travelling in Kenya.

Verizon to acquire Yahoo!

Thursday, July 28, 2016

On Monday, US telecom giant Verizon announced acquisition of Yahoo! for a reported amount of US$4.83 billion (€4.36 billion). Per the all-cash deal, Verizon would own only the core web business — in particular, Yahoo! Japan and Alibaba would not be acquired by Verizon.

Going public in 1996, Yahoo! provided e-mail service a year later. Once having a worth of US$ 125 billion, Yahoo!’s value on Friday’s closing was about $37 billion. Eight years ago, Microsoft offered US$44 billion for Yahoo!’s acquisition. The deal is expected to complete next year.

Last year, Verizon gained ownership of Huffington Post, TechCrunch, and Engadget as it purchased their owner America Online (AOL) for US$4.4 billion. Acquisition of Yahoo! means Verizon would own micro-blogging website Tumblr which was purchased by Yahoo! under ex-Google employee and Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer in 2013. Tumblr was formed by school dropout David Karp in 2007. Verizon would also own photo sharing site Flickr, acquired by Yahoo! in 2005.

Yahoo! received bids from the owner of The Daily Mail as well as from AT&T — another American telecom giant. After handing over ownership to Verizon, Yahoo! would be selling about 3,000 patents at auction.

Though Mayer has expressed she would like to remain the CEO, CNBC reported Verizon CEO Marni Walden is yet to decide the leadership team. Mayer said it was a big day for Yahoo!.

This acquisition would end Yahoo!’s 20 years as an independent company and an early-emerging company in Silicon Valley, California. The company started as “Jerry and David’s Guide To The World Wide Web” in 1994, by Jerry Yang and David Filo based at Stanford University.

Minnesota attorney general announces plans to join other U.S. states in Net Neutrality lawsuit

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

On Tuesday, Minnesota state Attorney General Lori Swanson announced by email her plans to join the states of New York and Washington in a lawsuit against the United States Federal Communications Commission over its decision to revoke a set of regulatory rules commonly called Net Neutrality, which address which federal agency regulates the Internet in the U.S.

Swanson, who may be considering a gubernatorial seat, expressed concerns that the absence of Net Neutrality regulation might negatively affect consumers and those seeking political information and expression.

The Obama-era Net Neutrality rules were revoked earlier this month. On Thursday December 14, as protesters gathered in Washington D.C., the United States Federal Communications Commission under Chairman Ajit Pai voted 3-2 to overturn the 2015 decision, which forbade Internet service providers (ISPs) such as Verizon, Comcast, and AT&T from blocking individual websites or charging websites or customers more for faster load times.

Specifically, the 2015 decision placed the Internet under Title II of the 1934 Telecommunications Act, which established that Internet access must be regulated under the same rules as a utility. Currently, in the U.S., telephones are regulated in this way, but cable television is not. Cable providers can offer bundled services and otherwise select which channels to offer customers; they do not have to offer access to every channel the way ISPs have offered access to the whole Internet. The new rules voted on December 14 transfer the Internet from the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission to the Federal Trade Commission, which means instead of being forbidden from blocking websites or offering different access speeds, ISPs will only be required to disclose having done so.

“There are going to be fast lanes and slow lanes,” says telecom analyst Gigi Sohn, who worked with Pai’s predecessor Tom Wheeler in 2015. “As a consumer, that means some of your favorite websites are going to load more slowly, and it also may mean some of your favorite content goes away because the provider just can’t pay the fee.”

“Net neutrality allowed something like Etsy to hang out a shingle on the web and give it a try,” says former Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson.

Supporters of the new rule argue Net Neutrality regulations were unnecessary. Commissioner Michael O’Reilly pointed out the Internet “has functioned without net neutrality rules for far longer than it has without [sic] them.”

“Quite simply, we are restoring the light-touch framework that has governed the internet for most of its existence,” said Chairman Pai, who argued removing the rules would make the Internet freer and more open.

“[T]he internet will continue to work tomorrow just as it always has,” promised AT&T Senior Executive Vice President Bob Quinn, who said his company would not block websites or discriminate with respect to content.

Opposition was organized almost immediately: The Attorneys General for the states of New York and Washington have both announced plans for lawsuits against the new rules.. The United States Congress also has the authority to overrule the FCC’s decision by passing legislation. One such bill, House Resolution 4585, or the “Save Net Neutrality Act of 2017,” was introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives on December 7.

According to a poll conducted last week by the University of Maryland, more than 80% of registered U.S. voters opposed the repeal of Net Neutrality, 75% of registered Republicans, 89% of registered Democrats, and 86% of independents, those not registered to either party. Before the vote, the FCC had accepted comments on the measure from the public through its website, FCC.gov. However, there have been allegations that many of the comments offered in support of the rollback were fakes. Before the vote took place, attorneys general from seventeen states and the District of Columbia sent a letter to the FCC asking the vote be delayed until the matter could be investigated.

Attorney General Swanson’s spokesperson, Ben Wogsland, says the lawsuit cannot be filed until after the FCC’s decision has been published in the U.S. Federal Register.

Germany legalises medical use of cannabis

Friday, January 20, 2017

Yesterday, the German Bundestag passed a law to legalise cannabis drug for medicinal purposes. The law is to come under effect in March.

“Seriously ill people must be treated in the best ways possible” ((de)) German language: Schwerkranke Menschen müssen bestmöglich versorgt werden. , German health minister Hermann Gröhe tweeted. Doctors can prescribe marijuana — cannabis — for patients suffering from multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, or loss of appetite or nausea from cancer’s chemotherapy treatment.

Christian Democrats (CDU) lawmaker Rainer Hayek said this law would still prevent recreational use of cannabis. The cost of cannabis is to be covered under health insurance. Patients can buy dried buds or cannabis extracts from pharmacies with a prescription or get synthetic derivatives from other countries, though possession of the drug in large quantities is not allowed.

Cannabis cultivation is to be monitored by the government. Germany has joined other European countries such as Austria, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Netherlands in legalising the drug to some extent.

In October, a 53-year-old multiple sclerosis patient showed cannabis was the only solution to reduce his pain, and the court granted him permission to grow as many as 130 plants in one year for personal use. Purchasing, rather than growing, medical cannabis at the time cost about €15 (US$16.85) per gram.

How Malaysian Telemarketing Call Center Works

Malaysian call centers and telemarketing firms necessitate adequate know-how and understanding about Malaysia. Be sure that you have the sufficient knowledge and data about this Asian country to guarantee that both your outbound and inbound telemarketing services are performed properly in accordance to your criteria and expectations.

When trying to post for a request for a telemarketing service provider in Malaysia, be specific in your preferences if you want outbound or inbound services. Most call centers in this Asian nation will be able to offer appointment setting, reservation services, customer services tasks, answering services abilities, message taking, etc. As a matter of fact, there are several options to go along with your need, that’s why you have to take your time when you canvass around and obtain a competitive rate for your Malaysian call center solutions. Nowadays, it is quite usual that telemarketing companies in Malaysia will offer call recording services which could be helpful for your training and quality control uses. If you’re looking for a call center agency in this Asian country, you got to ask if they give customer support via email, live web chats and fax aside from phone contact.

Outsourcing your telemarketing needs to Malaysia, rather than being reliant on their in-house workers, allows you to choose either a big or small BPO (business process outsourcing) firm, depending on your needs and budget, of course. Bigger contact centers in Malaysia offer formal coaching at the same time, career development, thanks to a structured environment. In fact, they also got more staff to implement your sales force increase or if you got plans in raising the quantity of inbound staff to go hand in hand with your impending launch, etc.

Meanwhile, smaller Malaysian contact centers could offer more personalized services which bigger companies may often fail to see. Malaysian call center representatives can get more from unique attention from the management that could be crucial for the initial and ongoing training to maximum performance levels. Smaller BPO firms or call centers could also be faster to respond because of low red tape which could thwart the development process. And naturally, in smaller Malaysian telemarketing service providers, there is generally less employee turnover that can be attributed to a close-knit working ambiance.

Eventually, you would be the one who will select whether you would go for the smaller or bigger contact center solutions in Malaysia. The more data and facts you provide to a call center in Malaysia, then, the best the outcome would be. At the onset of the forthcoming Malaysian campaign, offer some added leeway before the primary trial test in order to prepare. Map out at least a couple of months for the campaign to operate. Then evaluate the outcome along the way and create a program so that you can release the communication channels between you and the Malaysian call center. Ultimately, when the trial campaign is about to end, you got to give it at least 14 days in order to wrap everything up and to organize the reports.

Elvish, Klingon and Na’vi: Constructed languages gain foothold in film

Monday, December 28, 2009

The release of the movie Avatar, written and directed by James Cameron, has generated increased interest in the field of constructed language, also known as conlang. Cameron asked American linguistics professor Paul Frommer to develop a language spoken by the extraterrestrial people in the film known as the Na’vi.

Author J. R. R. Tolkien developed Elvish languages for his literary series The Lord of the Rings. The Elvish language was featured in scenes of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson.

The Klingon language (tlhIngan Hol) was developed by linguist Marc Okrand, initially for use in the 1984 film Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Okrand drew inspiration from Klingon lines spoken by actor James Doohan in the film Star Trek: The Motion Picture; Doohan portrayed character Montgomery Scott in the Star Trek series. A dictionary for Klingon developed by Okrand, The Klingon Dictionary sold over 300,000 copies.

You know your alien language has taken off when a German guy translates rap songs into it.

Klingon became quite popular and has developed a usage among Star Trek fans. The Klingon Terran Research Ensemble in the Netherlands created an opera in Klingon. The play Hamlet by William Shakespeare was translated into Klingon. A German Trekkie who goes by the moniker Klenginem posted videos to YouTube where he raps songs he translated into Klingon by musician Eminem. Klenginem has been cited recently in pieces on constructed language in The New York Times, ABC News Nightline, and National Public Radio. “You know your alien language has taken off when a German guy translates rap songs into it,” said National Public Radio of Klenginem.

Linguistics professor Frommer received his PhD degree from the University of Southern California (USC), and subsequently shifted his focus into the business arena. He returned to USC to teach at the Marshall School of Business. Cameron tasked Frommer with creating an entire language for the Na’vi people.

In an interview with Geoff Boucher of the Los Angeles Times, Frommer voiced hope that the language would continue to be used separate from the movie, as Klingon has. “I’m still working and I hope that the language will have a life of its own,” said Frommer. The Na’vi language created by Frommer contains over 1,000 words, as well as a structural system and rules format for usage. Frommer told Vanity Fair that the language was fairly developed, commenting, “It’s got a perfectly consistent sound system, and grammar, orthography, syntax”.

I hope that the language will have a life of its own.

Frommer explained the direction given to him before creating the language, “Cameron wanted something melodious and musical, something that would sound strange and alien but smooth and appealing.” The Avatar writer-director provided Frommer with approximately three dozen words of the Na’vi language he used in his scriptment for the film. “That was the starting point. Probably the most exotic thing I added were ejectives, which are these sorts of popping sounds that are found in different languages from around the world. It’s found in Native American languages and in parts of Africa and in Central Asia, the Caucasus,” explained Frommer. Cameron and Frommer worked together for four years developing the language.

The linguistics professor relied on inspiration provided by Cameron, and avoided drawing upon influences from Elvish, Klingon, and the international auxiliary language Esperanto. Sample words in the Na’vi language include “Uniltìrantokx” (oo-neel-tih-RAHN-tokx), meaning “Avatar”, and “tireaioang” (tee-REH-ah-ee-o-ahng), which means “spirit animal”. Maclean’s reported that fans of Avatar were anxious for more instructive material from professor Frommer about the language in order to learn how to speak it with others that appreciated the film. “The response has been quite remarkable and totally unexpected. I never thought there’d be this level of interest. But I really don’t think of Na’vi as a competitor to Klingon. If it does develop a following, that would be quite wonderful,” said Frommer of the response to the language from Avatar fans.

We wanted to ‘out-Klingon’ Klingon.

The Na’vi language is itself a minor plot point in the film Avatar. The character Jake Sully portrayed by Sam Worthington endeavors to learn the language while living on Pandora. A botanist portrayed by actress Sigourney Weaver instructs a scientist played by actor Joel David Moore on how to become conversational in the language.

Zoe Saldaña, the actress behind warrior princess Neytiri in Avatar, picked up the Na’vi language faster than her fellow cast members. “Zoe owned the language and everyone had to match her, even her accent,” said Cameron. Saldaña remarked that the most difficult part about acting in the film was speaking in English with the accent of the Na’vi people. Cameron touted the rich nature of the Na’vi language in publicity for his film. “We wanted to ‘out-Klingon’ Klingon. The best sci-fi movies immerse the audience in that world until it doesn’t seem alien to them,” said Cameron to USA Today.

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

While nearly all cover of the 2008 Presidential election has focused on the Democratic and Republican candidates, the race for the White House also includes independents and third party candidates. These parties represent a variety of views that may not be acknowledged by the major party platforms.

As a non-partisan news source, Wikinews has impartially reached out to these candidates, throughout the campaign. The most recent of our interviews is Laurens, South Carolina‘s John Taylor Bowles. Mr. Bowles is running with the endorsement of the National Socialist Order of America, a Minnesota-based Neo-Nazi party created after a recent rift in the National Socialist Movement.
