Do I Need An Accident Attorney Arizona Or An Arizona Workmans Comp Attorney?

When you suffer an injury at your place of work or related to your job, you may experience significant financial losses as well as pain and suffering and emotional distress. It is natural to want to obtain compensation for these things, and, to do so, you may wish to speak with an accident attorney Arizona. For work accidents, however, you will normally want to find an attorney who specializes in Arizona workman’s (workers’) comp rather than just a general personal injury attorney.

Why You Need an Arizona Workman’s (Workers’) Comp Attorney

An accident attorney Arizona can help you with a number of different types of tort cases, from car accident cases to slip and falls. However, all of these cases are tort claims and are handed in civil court or through out of court settlements based on tort law damages. Tort is the body of law usually used when one private citizen makes a claim against or sues another for negligent or intentional wrongdoings.

In Arizona, however, tort laws do not govern most work injury cases. Instead, the Arizona legislature has passed a law establishing workers compensation as the exclusive remedy system for injured workers who suffer on-the-job harm. Since the workers compensation system is an exclusive remedy system, you may not sue your employer for a work-related accident or injury (except those caused as a result of an intentional act) and you’ll instead have to recover using the system set forth in the workers compensation legislation.

How AZ Workmans Compensation Works

AZ workmans comp (workers’ comp) involves promptly notifying your employer of the injury, filing a claim with the Industrial Commission of Arizona and seeking payment for medical bills and, if appropriate, compensation for disability payments if you are unable to work for a period of time or if you have reduced earnings as compared to your average monthly wage (which is called temporary disability compensation). The workers compensation system covers a broad range of injuries- anything from acute injuries caused by an accident to repetitive stress injuries caused by years of performing work. The basic requirement for obtaining compensation through this system is that the injury or illness be causally related to your job. You do not even have to have been in your normal workplace and your employer need not have been negligent. There are special rules that apply to certain types of medical conditions, such as hernias, heart and mental conditions, and occupational illnesses. There are also different types of permanent injuries, depending upon the part of the body which has been injured and whether there was a prior permanent impairment.

While the workers comp system provides broad coverage, not all employers or insurers actually pay what they are supposed to or when they are supposed to. Having an Arizona workman’s (workers’) comp attorney who specializes in workers compensation law is very important in these cases since any disputes are handled by the Industrial Commission of Arizona, rather than being addressed in a court system.

While most accident attorney Arizona professionals are used to negotiating insurance settlements or trying cases in court, an attorney who specializes in Arizona workers compensation will have experience with the specifics of dealing with the Arizona administrative agency and the thousands of cases that have interpreted the workers’ compensation act.

Having a lawyer who isn’t just an accident attorney Arizona, but who is an Arizona workman’s (workers’) comp expert will give you the best possible chance of successfully recovering the benefits you are afforded under the law. Those benefits exist to protect workers and you owe it to yourself to have an expert attorney to help you get your claim approved.

Saturn moon Enceladus may have salty ocean

Thursday, June 23, 2011

NASA’s Cassini–Huygens spacecraft has discovered evidence for a large-scale saltwater reservoir beneath the icy crust of Saturn’s moon Enceladus. The data came from the spacecraft’s direct analysis of salt-rich ice grains close to the jets ejected from the moon. The study has been published in this week’s edition of the journal Nature.

Data from Cassini’s cosmic dust analyzer show the grains expelled from fissures, known as tiger stripes, are relatively small and usually low in salt far away from the moon. Closer to the moon’s surface, Cassini found that relatively large grains rich with sodium and potassium dominate the plumes. The salt-rich particles have an “ocean-like” composition and indicate that most, if not all, of the expelled ice and water vapor comes from the evaporation of liquid salt-water. When water freezes, the salt is squeezed out, leaving pure water ice behind.

Cassini’s ultraviolet imaging spectrograph also recently obtained complementary results that support the presence of a subsurface ocean. A team of Cassini researchers led by Candice Hansen of the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson, Arizona, measured gas shooting out of distinct jets originating in the moon’s south polar region at five to eight times the speed of sound, several times faster than previously measured. These observations of distinct jets, from a 2010 flyby, are consistent with results showing a difference in composition of ice grains close to the moon’s surface and those that made it out to the E ring, the outermost ring that gets its material primarily from Enceladean jets. If the plumes emanated from ice, they should have very little salt in them.

“There currently is no plausible way to produce a steady outflow of salt-rich grains from solid ice across all the tiger stripes other than salt water under Enceladus’s icy surface,” said Frank Postberg, a Cassini team scientist at the University of Heidelberg in Germany.

The data suggests a layer of water between the moon’s rocky core and its icy mantle, possibly as deep as about 50 miles (80 kilometers) beneath the surface. As this water washes against the rocks, it dissolves salt compounds and rises through fractures in the overlying ice to form reserves nearer the surface. If the outermost layer cracks open, the decrease in pressure from these reserves to space causes a plume to shoot out. Roughly 400 pounds (200 kilograms) of water vapor is lost every second in the plumes, with smaller amounts being lost as ice grains. The team calculates the water reserves must have large evaporating surfaces, or they would freeze easily and stop the plumes.

“We imagine that between the ice and the ice core there is an ocean of depth and this is somehow connected to the surface reservoir,” added Postberg.

The Cassini mission discovered Enceladus’ water-vapor and ice jets in 2005. In 2009, scientists working with the cosmic dust analyzer examined some sodium salts found in ice grains of Saturn’s E ring but the link to subsurface salt water was not definitive. The new paper analyzes three Enceladus flybys in 2008 and 2009 with the same instrument, focusing on the composition of freshly ejected plume grains. In 2008, Cassini discovered a high “density of volatile gases, water vapor, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, as well as organic materials, some 20 times denser than expected” in geysers erupting from the moon. The icy particles hit the detector target at speeds between 15,000 and 39,000 MPH (23,000 and 63,000 KPH), vaporizing instantly. Electrical fields inside the cosmic dust analyzer separated the various constituents of the impact cloud.

“Enceladus has got warmth, water and organic chemicals, some of the essential building blocks needed for life,” said Dennis Matson in 2008, Cassini project scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

“This finding is a crucial new piece of evidence showing that environmental conditions favorable to the emergence of life can be sustained on icy bodies orbiting gas giant planets,” said Nicolas Altobelli, the European Space Agency’s project scientist for Cassini.

“If there is water in such an unexpected place, it leaves possibility for the rest of the universe,” said Postberg.

How To Find A Jc Penney Job Application Online

By Lauren Dzuris

Finding a job in a bad economy can be tough sometimes. It seems like you’ve always got to ‘know someone’ or have a background in the work they’re looking for. Although, whether you’re looking for your first job or you’re looking to get a second job as a parent, you will take the same approach.

You will first want to get some ideas on where you want to work, which places are hiring and then fill out those applications. If you’re considering JcPenney, I’ve heard a lot of great things about working there. The hardest part is getting started and waiting it out to see if you get hired or not. So, if you’re interested in JcPenney but you’re not sure how to go about getting an application, consider a few of these ideas.

How to Find a JcPenney Job Application Online:

I personally think the Internet is the best place to find anything you’re looking for. Whether you want to know how to fix a tire on your car, cook the best pasta or you want to find a job application, you can. So, start searching online and use a few of these tips to find an application online.

Main website: Most retails, restaurants and places that have a job opening have a website online. I would start by checking out JcPenney’s main website. There should be a place that says careers or positions, once you find that, click it. See what it talks about and see if there is an application that is attached. If there is, go over the application, fill it out to the best of your knowledge and wait it out to see if they contact you.

Search: First, start out by using one of your favorite search engines. Go there and type in ‘JcPenney job applications’. You will then be brought to a bunch of different sites that have to do what you’re searching for. Click on one that sounds the most helpful and see what it’s about.

Job application site: If you’re not having any luck with the two ideas above, I suggest that you go to a job application website. These are great because they are focused on finding you a job application for just about every and any place hiring. You can usually sort through what type of work it is, find out more about the job itself, what the pay is like, etc. These are very helpful and are sometimes the best way to go about finding a new job!

Finding a new job can be an emotional roller coaster. You may be a little overwhelmed, lost on what you want to do for work, have a hard time finding a place to work, or you may be overwhelmed by how many decisions there are to choose from. So, my advice is find out what type of work you like best, search for that work, and then go from there. Use these tips to find that job at JcPenney, or to find a job anywhere else!

Grandfather and grandson die after dinghy capsizes off North Wales coast

Sunday, July 3, 2005

A grandfather and his grandson have died off the coast of North Wales, UK, after their sailing dinghy was overwhelmed and capsized in rough seas. They were with a party of four who had been angling from a 4.6 m boat.

At 4pm local time on Saturday the Holyhead Coastguard received an emergency call from the Star Reader saying they had found a capsized dinghy adrift three and a half miles north of Puffin Island, off the east coast of the Isle of Anglesey.

A third vessel, the Sara Jane, also attended the scene to allow a first aider on board to render assistance.

A RAF search and rescue helicopter was scrambled and the Beaumaris lifeboat launched to effect a rescue effort. Two people were found clinging to the boat but two more had been washed away. A rapid search recovered both of them.

The rescue helicopter lowered its winchman onto the dinghy to begin CPR on the nine year old boy before he was winched onboard. He was flown to nearby Bangor Hospital, but later died.

The Beaumaris lifeboat raced the grandfather – also suffering serious hypothermia – ashore to a waiting ambulance, but he too died shortly afterwards. The lifeboat also carried an uninjured member of the party ashore, while the helicopter returned to rescue a second young boy.

The father and a twelve year old boy survived. All had been wearing life jackets, but the sea was running at 1.5 m waves in a 45 km/h wind at the time.

It is believed the two dead had been in the water for at least three hours before they were recovered, and died from the effects of hypothermia.

Indian banks propose to use gold deposits as CRR/SLR

Monday, June 30, 2014

State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda (BoB), two of the largest public sector banks of India, proposed on Saturday their gold deposits should be allowed to count toward their state-mandated cash reserve ratio (CRR) or statutory liquidity ratio (SLR).

Arundhati Bhattacharya, the chairperson of SBI, made the proposal at a Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council event held in Mumbai on Saturday. She said the need for gold deposits to become more liquid has increased because gold import is putting a strain on the country’s current account deficit. S. S. Mundra, Chairperson and managing director of BoB, agreed and said it would help bringing gold into the more productive sectors of the economy.

Bhattacharya added SBI has no longer any incentive to run its gold deposit scheme as it cannot fully deploy the assets, noting SBI is the party most involved with gold deposits in India. G. S. Sandhu, Union financial services secretary, also at the event, responded that the government is looking for ways to monetize the gold held by the public, as import of gold can strain the current account deficit and foreign exchange reserves.

Currently, the Reserve Bank of India has set the CRR at 4% and the SLR at 22.5%. SLR is the portion of deposits that must be invested in recognized safe securities and assets.

Election in Moldova instigates rioting mob demanding recount

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Protests which began Monday escalated to a riot on Wednesday consisting of over 10,000 people in Chi?in?u, the capital of Moldova, protesting the results of Sunday’s 2009 Moldovan parliamentary election, which showed an apparent, narrow victory for the Communist Party (Partidul Comuni?tilor din Republica Moldova, PCRM). Demonstrators claim the victory was the result of electoral fraud.

The demonstration escalated to a “flash mob” of between 10,000 to 15,000 communicating via online tools like email, micro-blogging tool Twitter, and social-networking website Facebook. “We sent messages on Twitter but didn’t expect 15,000 people to join in. At the most we expected 1,000”, said Oleg Brega of the activist group Hyde Park.

Police deployed tear gas and water cannons, and fired blanks into the crowd. The rioters threw stones at the riot police and took control of the parliament building and presidential office. A bonfire was built out of parliamentary furniture and all windows below the 7th floor were broken.

Approximately one hundred protesters and 170 police officers are reported as injured. There have been conflicting reports as to whether a female protester died during the altercation.

193 protesters “have been charged with looting, hooliganism, robbery and assault,” said an Interior Ministry spokesperson. This announcement sparked another protest by those demanding the release for those detained.

There is wide speculation about who was to blame for the rioting.

President Vladimir Voronin has expelled the Romanian ambassador from Moldova, blaming Romania for the violent protests. “We know that certain political forces in Romania are behind this unrest. The Romanian flags fixed on the government buildings in Chisinau attest to this” said Voronin. “Romania is involved in everything that has happened.“ Voronin also blamed the protests on opposition leaders who used violence to seize power, and has described the event as a coup d’état.

Protesters initially insisted on a recount of the election results and are now calling for a new vote, which has been rejected by the government. Rioters were also demanding unification between Moldova and Romania. “In the air, there was a strong expectation of change, but that did not happen”, said OSCE spokesman Matti Sidoroff.File:Dorin Chirtoaca.jpg

“The elections were fraudulent, there was multiple voting” accused Chi?in?u mayor Dorin Chirtoac? of the Liberal Party. “It’s impossible that every second person in Moldova voted for the Communists. However, we believe the riots were a provocation and we are now trying to reconcile the crowd. Leaders of all opposition parties are at the scene,” said Larissa Manole of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova.

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) proclaimed the PCRM to have won 61 seats in initial counts, enough to guarantee a third term in power for Voronin, who has held the position since 2001. But the Central Election Commission has received evidence of election violations, according to RIA Novosti, and upon recounts conducted of disputed polls, the commission reported that the Communists achieved 49.48% of the Moldovian vote, giving them 60 parliamentary seats — one short of the total needed to win the presidential election. “The electoral commission also granted opposition parties permission to check voter lists, fulfilling one of their chief demands,” said Yuri Ciocan, Central Election Commission secretary.

Voronin will step down in May, however his party could elect a successor with 61 parliamentary seats without any votes from outside parties as well as amend the Constitution. With the PCRM garnering 60 seats, the opposition will have a voice in the presidential election for a new successor.

The western part of Moldova was a part of Romania from the Romania’s independence until the region was detached by the USSR in 1940 to form the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic. On independence in 1990 the country sought union with Romania but the eastern, Russian- and Ukrainian-inhabited areas of the country declared themselves independent from Moldova and formed the state of Transnistria and movement toward union was halted.

Moldova is Europe’s poorest country, where average income is less than $250 (£168) a month. The country’s neighbours are Romania and Ukraine. Romania is a European Union (EU) state.

How Much Does A Facelift Cost?

How much does a facelift cost?

by

IndiCure Treatment

Facelift is one of the elective cosmetic surgery procedures chosen by men and women in their late 40s and 50s. Technically known as rhytidectomy, a facelift surgery reverses the signs of age, genetics and sun damage from the face. A facelift also contours lower two third of face, the upper one third can be rejuvenated by other elective cosmetic procedures such as brow lift, forehead lift and eyelid surgery.

There are many factors affecting the cost of facelift surgery, the main factors being, hospital fee, surgeon s fee and extent of procedure. There are some other factors if one chooses to get the surgery done outside his/her home country, to name a few charges incurred on travel and stay in a foreign country.

Surgeon s fee A large chunk of the overall charges of facelift goes to surgeon s fee. The qualification and experience of the surgeon together determine surgeon s fee. An experienced and board certified surgeon would apparently charge more than a less qualified surgeon. Additional charges that are counted along with surgeon s fee are anesthesia fee.

Hospital fee One of the major factors that affect the cost of facelift is hospital fee. The geographical location of the hospital determines the cost of the surgery. A bigger hospital facility costs more than a smaller facility.

Combining other procedures A large cost determining factor are the number of procedures that are advised with facelift for complete facial rejuvenation. Many people choose to get the facelift done with other elective facial procedures such as brow lift or eyelid lift or a forehead lift or non surgical procedures such as botox or dermabrasion or a chemical peel. It is more economical if many procedures are done at once since it incurs one time anaesthesia and facility fee rather than going for individual procedures.

In US, the average cost of facelift is approximately 18,000 USD which further goes up to 25,000 USD for combined procedures. In countries like India, where latest techniques and advancing technologies are on par with any other world class facility, the charges of facelift are much less than those compared with other western countries.

If one chooses to get the plastic surgery done in India, of the overall cost of the procedure, there are certain variables, such as travel and stay charges in India. If one takes into account all the variables affecting cost of facelift including hospital fee, surgeon s fee and extent of the procedure, the overall fee of facelift in India is as less as 6,000 USD. Thus, the charges of facelift in India are even less than a third of what one would pay in European countries. It makes more economical sense to get a facelift done in India rather than in US or UK or Australia.

IndiCure is the most respected company offering facelift and other plastic surgery procedures in India. The company helps the medical tourists make informed decision about their facelift in India and also provides suitable holiday options in India.
